A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces traveled to Indiana to face Caitlin Clark and the Fever on Wednesday. During the 86-75 victory for the Aces, Wilson made WNBA history.

With four games left in the regular season, A'ja Wilson secured the WNBA single-season record for the most points scored. Wilson has scored 956 points on the year, passing the great Jewell Loyd from the Seattle Storm who recently held the record.

Following the achievement, Wilson and her teammate, Alysha Clark, joined the postgame press conference side-by-side.

As Clark was giving Wilson high praise for her selfless character and talent on the floor and Wilson spoke about the impact her teammates have on her, the MVP frontrunner started crying.

Wilson and Clark both spent the beginning of the press conference wiping off tears, with both showing immense gratitude for each other.

Wilson finished the game with 27 points, 12 rebounds and two assists. She was flying around her season averages, as she currently posts 27.3 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists on the year.

The two-time WNBA MVP is making another case to hoist up the individual accolade. With her season averages, Wilson leads the league in average points, is No. 2 in average rebounds and leads the league in average blocks with 2.7 blocks per game.

A'ja Wilson's teammate, Alysha Clark, has now been playing with the former South Carolina Gamecocks star for two years.

She began her journey with the Aces in 2023 and has now gotten to witness a future Hall of Famer in A'ja Wilson.

As Wilson seems to be the unanimous candidate for the MVP award, both players will be looking to help Las Vegas secure their third straight WNBA title.
