Stephen A. Smith Puts Another Joke in 'Cowboy's Hat'

    By Lance Roberson,

The New York Knicks and their fans have Stephen A. Smith in their respective lives for the good and the bad. However, Smith's double-down nature is not limited to the NBA. Since chaotically debating with Skip Bayless in the late 2000s and the early 2010s, the Dallas Cowboys earned top billing for his most entertaining, theatrical, and, at times, exhausting commentary on "America's Team."

Instead of fully embracing joy as a Knicks fan, he leaned toward his "hatred" of the Cowboys and their fans.

In an interview with Front Office Sports, when asked if he would rather see the Knicks succeed or for the Cowboys to fail, Smith chose chaos.

“It’s still a tough call because I can’t put into words the joy that I get from seeing Cowboys fans miserable,” Smith told an interviewer for Front Office Sports, uploaded on X, (formerly Twitter). “I mean it really touches my heart. To just know that they’re crying, they’re upset.

Smith, not one for subtlety, leaned in on the feud with a chef's kiss closer to the question.

"After all the misery they cause everybody else with their bravado…they walking around Super Bowl champions–they ain’t won a Super Bowl in 29 years.”

Despite Smith's NBA predictions going awry, his Cowboys' predictions, at least regarding Super Bowl victories, haven't failed the ESPN star yet. It boils down to Smith's mocking nature toward the Cowboys, which is a never-ending cycle.

Until America's Team lives up to its reputation, Smith will keep donning the cowboy hat every Monday after they lose.
