Netflix's You fans are just now discovering that star actress Charlotte Ritchie had a minor role in Harry Potter.

Charlotte, also recognized for her performance in Ghosts, had her past work in the Harry Potter series largely overlooked until now.

In a TikTok video featuring a resurfaced interview from last year, Charlotte is seen playing a game of true or false with her co-star Tilly Keeper. During one round, she is asked: "True or false - I was in Harry Potter."

    Tilly responds with "true."

Charlotte confirms: "Yep I was an extra.", reports the Mirror .

To which Tilly adds: "You were an extra and you were in a scene where there was a spider and you had to react to it."

The scene in question is from the fourth film - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Charlotte portrayed a Hogwarts student from Slytherin House and can be seen sitting behind Ron Weasley during a Defence Against the Dark Arts Class with Professor Moody.

The class proves to be quite distressing for the students as Moody introduces them to three unforgivable curses by demonstrating them on a spider. The professor then proceeds to torture the spider before killing it.

During this scene, Charlotte can be seen reacting to the spider behind Ron.

Fans expressed their surprise in the comments section, unable to believe she appeared in the popular wizarding films. One fan commented: "Can't believe how far they've both come," while another exclaimed: "No way! ".

Fans can't get enough of replying with "Alison! " in comments after Charlotte Ritchie, known for her role as Alison Cooper in BBC's Ghosts, caught their attention. Not stopping at ghosts, Charlotte has been seen in Call the Midwife, Fresh Meat, and Feel Good since her time in the fourth Harry Potter film.
