Intense California wildfire has spawned its own mini weather system — including lightning strikes

Russian tourist Pavel Smirnov survived being struck by lighting as he danced on a pier in the country of Georgia on Sept. 11. “It seemed like my insides and body were on fire,” said the 32-year-old Smirnov as his brother put out flames on his burning shirt.

“Everything is burning as if you’re in Hell, it’s hard to breathe, your legs and arms don’t work. I thought I’d hold on a little longer and either suffocate or burn to death,” Smirnov said.

According to doctors, Smirnov was not seriously hurt and considered it “miraculous” he was not killed or seriously injured.
