    Glazed Orange Rolls Recipe

    Ingredients:

    For the Dough:

    • - 1 package active dry yeast
    • - ¼ cup warm water (100 to 110°F)
    • - 1 cup sugar, divided
    • - ½ cup butter, melted and divided
    • - 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
    • - ½ cup sour cream
    • - 1 teaspoon salt
    • - 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
    • - 2 tablespoons orange zest (from 2 large oranges)

    For the Glaze:

    • - ¾ cup sugar
    • - ½ cup sour cream
    • - ½ cup butter
    • - 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
    • - Pinch of salt

    Instructions:

    1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

    2. In a large bowl, mix ½ cup of the sugar, ¼ cup of the melted butter, eggs, sour cream, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and stir until combined.

    3. Gradually add the flour and orange zest, stirring until a soft dough forms.

    4. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

    5. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a large rectangle on a floured surface.

    6. Brush the remaining ¼ cup of melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle with the remaining ½ cup of sugar.

    7. Slicce the dough with a sharp knife into 12 equal sized long triangles. Roll up the dough tightly, starting from the wide edge of each piece. Place the rolls in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

    8. Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise for an additional 30 minutes.

    9. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

    10. While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by combining the sugar, sour cream, butter, orange juice, and salt in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth and well combined.

    11. Once the rolls are done, pour the glaze over the warm rolls, letting it soak into the soft, fluffy dough.

    12. Serve warm and enjoy!

Nothing is spread in the middle of the rolls? I'd spread some marmalade on the dough before rolling them up and maybe some softened cream cheese first
