Exclusive: B&B's Rebecca Budig on Why Taylor Really Returned

Viewers weren’t the only ones surprised when Taylor returned to The Bold & The Beautiful . And while she claims she came home to support Steffy, there’s clearly more going on than she’s letting on! “Yeah, always,” Taylor’s new portrayer, Rebecca Budig , teased to Soaps In Depth . “It’s a soap!”

Naturally, the actress couldn’t reveal the real reason Taylor has returned to the canvas, but the truth is going to come out very soon according to the CBS Fall Preview , so fans won’t have long to wait.

“I will say I think it’s just important for her to be with her family,” Budig explained. “I think what’s important to her is being with her daughter, who’s been through so many things since she’s been gone and I think she feels like she’s missed out on being a support system for her. So yeah, she’s back to be with her family… and also Ridge.

“I think she feels a deep bond with him,” the actress continued. “They share children together and I just think he is the love of her life and I think that she’s getting older and just wants to be around familiarity.”

It sounds like when the real reason for Taylor’s return is finally revealed, she’s going to need the support of all of her family around her, particularly Ridge. However, don’t expect the Taylor/Ridge/Brooke triangle to be reignited yet again.

“Taylor loves Ridge,” Budig allowed. “They’re great friends. She realizes that he’s with Brooke, so she’s not after him in any sort of romantic way. I just think that she’s a good support for her.”
