Ryan Williams has had an incredible start to his Alabama tenure, catching six passes for 207 yards and three touchdowns through two games. The true freshman wideout has a bright future ahead of him, and he's setting his sights high regarding contemporary Alabama talent to compare himself to.

"I ain't gonna lie, [DeVonta Smith] is my #1. I don't care. My dog won the Heisman. I got to give it to him," Williams said on an episode of the New Wave Podcast . "But don't think I ain't coming for you my boy."

Smith had an incredible career at Alabama, peaking in his senior season in 2020 when he caught 117 passes for 1,856 yards and 23 touchdowns, winning the Heisman Trophy. He finished with nearly 4,000 yards and 46 touchdowns across four seasons with the Crimson Tide.

Williams will look to continue his electric start to his rookie season on Saturday when Alabama travels north to face Wisconsin in a fascinating non-conference duel. Stay tuned for more coverage on that game and Williams' continued breakout for the Crimson Tide.
