Lucy-Bleu Knight laments on 'countless missed opportunities and connections' heartbreaking last post

Slash's step-daughter Lucy-Bleu Knight' s scheduled Instagram post following her death was harrowing.

The 25-year-old stepdaughter of Slash's cause of death was finally revealed on Thursday, August 29. According to the Los Angeles County medical examiner, she died of "hydrogen sulfide toxicity." Her death was ruled a suicide. Officials reported that law enforcement officers conducted a welfare check and discovered Lucy-Bleu unresponsive at a private property on July 19 and she was pronounced dead.

Three days after her death, a scheduled post was shared to her Instagram page on July 22. Her scheduled post which read as an apology to others for how she acted, featured a selfie of her posing.

The caption read: "Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/ controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity-I am sorry."

The caption continued: "Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace"

In a coroner's report received by The Mirror, Lucy had a "history of undiagnosed mental illness" and her family said she was "paranoid and would have hallucinations." The report additional said that "packet of suicide notes" were found on the side table in the main room of the private property where she passed.

Lucy had worked at a recording studio called Electric Lady Management. She was the daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight. Her mother first dated Slash in 1989 and they rekindled their previous relationship in 2015. The couple are not wed but Guns N’ Roses guitarist became a stepfather to her and her sister Scarlet Rae Knight.

Slash took to Instagram on July 21 to share about Lucy-Bleu's death hours before her scheduled post. The 59-year-old did not disclose the manner of her death but said she died "peacefully" and called her an "incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.”

He also asked for "privacy" and for people to not to speculate "as they grieve and process this devastating loss." Slash had canceled a string of shows in his blues tour that is in support of his latest blues album Orgy Of The Damned in the wake of Lucy-Bleu's death. He had returned to the stage at his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival at Pier 17 in New York City on August 4.
