Wisconsin football quarterback commit Landyn Locke will miss the rest of his senior year after suffering a season-ending injury.

According to a report by the Dallas Morning News , Wisconsin's class of 2025 signal-caller suffered a torn ACL.

The Rockwall High School standout and younger brother of Badgers QB Braedyn Locke thanked his coaches and teammates in a social media post a few days ago. Locke's parents also spoke on the news via a post on Facebook.

"We started the season with so much excitement and anticipation. And just like that his senior season is over, almost as it started. It was confirmed today that he tore his ACL Friday night during the game. We are absolutely devastated but know there's bigger plans for him. We have been covered in prayer these last few days and appreciate all the love and support everyone has shown our guy. Surgery will be in October so please continue to keep him in your prayers."

Locke, the No. 61 QB in the country and the No. 5 QB in Texas, announced his commitment to Wisconsin in June of 2023 over offers from SMU, Tulsa, and Western Kentucky. Other programs, including Miami, Duke, Rice, East Carolina, and North Texas, jumped into the mix following his commitment, but Locke has remained firm in his pledge with the Badgers.

Before his injury, Locke completed 30 of his 54 pass attempts for 334 yards and three touchdowns, according to MaxPreps .

Locke's sights are now set on making a full recovery before making his way to Madison and kicking off his Badgers career.
