    Arrest Made in 2023 Tunica Crime

    More than a year later, Tunica County Sheriff's Office has a suspect in custody for a shooting that occured on February 5, 2023.

    According to a press release from Tunica County Sheriff's Office, De'Marion Hamilton of Tunica is now in police custody for the violent crime, which is still under active investigation.

    At approximately 3:05 a.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2023, sherriff deputies reported to the scene on Casino Center Drive in Robinsonville, Mississippi following a 911 call.

    There, they found a black female who had multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to Region One Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee after being treated on scene by Pafford. She survived the injuries sustained that night.

    Hamilton has been charged with attempted murder, driveby shooting, shooting into a vehicle, and conspiracy. Two other John Doe warrants have been issued for suspects who also participated in the crime, according to the press release.

    The investigation into this matter is still ongoing. More arrests will be made in connection with the crime, and charges brought against suspects.
