Samoyed Shows Off Hidden Athletic Talent with Impressive Running Speed

An adorable Samoyed dog has a hidden athletic talent, and what he is able to do is seriously impressive.

On September 1, 2024, Instagram user Life with a Land Cloud (@live.with.a.lancloud) shared a cute video of a fluffy Samoyed who impressed even himself with his hidden talent. Take a look!

In a clip shared on social media, we meet a land cloud Samoyed named Boomer who discovers he's really good at running.

The video's caption reads, "Watch my dog get more confident and faster with each run class. " In the clip, we can absolutely see the adorable Boomer running on a dog treadmill.

On his first run, you can see how hesitant and nervous he was. She was mostly crawling and taking really small steps. But on the second day, the fluffy Samoyed's confidence grew a little more, and he was running with a smile on his face.

By day four on the treadmill, he s running 17mph and the joy on his face when he rocks the top speed is so adorable it will brighten anyone's day.

"Did you know a land cloud could run this fast?" the video's caption reads. "Zoomie Boomie!"

In the comments, people were smitten by the beautiful pup.

One wrote, "The floof is impressive."

Another shared, "Love seeing him gain confidence with each session and having so much fun🙌 and because the slatmill is non motorized and only propelled by his movement it is especially fun to see him have the freedom to go as fast as he wants!"

Samoyed Dogs Are Known for Sweet Temperament and Being Hard Working

According to the American Kennel Club , Samoyed dogs are typically "friendly, gentle, and adaptable." This makes them the perfect family dog since they're great with young children and are very lovey-dovey.

"These are smart, social, mischievous dogs who demand love and attention," the club explains. Samoyeds need structure when training so they know "what's expected of them early, and practice it with them often."

Another feature that contributes to this breed's personality is its really fluffy white fur, which, as Boomer's family says, looks like a walking cloud, and its smile.

DogTime also notes that Samoyed dogs are known and loved for their personality, writing that these pups are "intelligent, gentle, and loyal dogs. He is friendly and affectionate with his family, including the children, and thrives on being part of household activity."

These dogs are not afraid to work, and we can see in the video with Boomer that they're willing to try and try again until they get it right, whatever the activity.
