    Salem’s Lot Trailer Previews Max’s Supernatural Horror Movie

    Max has released the official Salem’s Lot trailer for New Line Cinema’s upcoming supernatural horror movie, based on Stephen King‘s 1975 novel of the same name. The long-awaited film is scheduled to make its U.S. debut on October 3, 2024 on Max.

    “Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire,” reads the official synopsis.

    What happens in the Salem’s Lot trailer?

    The video highlights the strange and unusual occurrences happening within the town of Jerusalem’s Lot, Maine. It also provides fans with a glimpse of some of the adaptation’s horrific vampire sequences, unveiling our first look at the monsters who will haunt down the main characters.

    The Salem’s Lot movie stars Lewis Pullman as Ben Mears, Makenzie Leigh as Susan Norton, Alfre Woodard as Dr. Cody, Jordan Preston Carter as Mark Petrie, John Benjamin Hickey as Father Callahan, Bill Camp as Matthew Burke, Spencer Treat Clark as Mike Ryerson, William Sadler as Parkins Gillespie, Pilou Asbæk as Richard Straker, Nicholas Crovetti as Danny Glick, Cade Woodward as Ralph Glick, and more. It is written and directed by Gary Dauberman, who previously penned the screenplay for 2017’s IT and 2019’s IT: Chapter Two.

    The adaptation is executive produced by Dauberman, with James Wan, Michael Clear, Roy Lee and Mark Wolper serving as producers. It is a production by Atomic Monster, Vertigo, and New Line Cinema. The novel was first adapted into film in 1987, with director Larry Cohen directing Michael Moriarty and Andrew Duggan in a sequel titled, A Return to Salem’s Lot.
