Could Chiefs Trade for Emmanuel Forbes Jr.?

The Kansas City Chiefs traded away star cornerback L'Jarius Sneed earlier this offseason, so they could be looking for some depth at the position as a result.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox , he takes a look at some of the players most likely to be traded. One of the players he mentions is Washington Commanders corner Emmanuel Forbes Jr., and the Chiefs could target the young defensive back.

"The Commanders made Forbes the 16th overall pick in last year's draft, but the second-year corner may already need a new home to thrive," Knox writes. "A few teams might be willing to take a flier on the young Mississippi State product, who did flash a lot of playmaking potential in college."

Trent McDuffie will be a leader on this Chiefs defense at just 23 years old, so he could use some depth behind him.

Forbes finished last season with 38 total tackles, with an impressive 35 of them being solo. He was also able to show his ball hawk skills by getting an interception and defend 11 passes.

If the Chiefs decide they want to get some other young talent to go with McDuffie in the cornerback room, Forbes could be a very intriguing option.
