The Bold and the Beautiful: Mike Growing Interest in Luna and a New Escape Scheme

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) implies that an imprisoned Luna may meet someone behind bars who takes a serious interest in her.

Since Sheila is happily married and has moved on, perhaps Mike is ready for a midlife crisis and a not-so-sweet young thing!

It appears that, especially since many jails are privately owned, the new owners have implemented significant modifications, such as providing offenders with a computer area to access the internet or coed meeting rooms.

Is Luna the New Sheila?

These are pleasures reserved for people who behave well, and Mike hasn't assisted Sheila in well over a year.

He's been in prison since December 2023 for assisting Sheila, but now that she's been exonerated, he has no reason to cause trouble, despite being fascinated with her for years.

Sheila has not been known to visit or speak with Mike, and he has no relatives other than his brother Martin, whom he hasn't seen in many years.

So Mike's probably quite lonely because most prisoners don't want to be buddies with a former prison guard.

It's remarkable that the jail officials would even let Luna inside a coed visiting area with less than maximum security, but Mike realizes she's being harassed.

The women's section, like the men's section, has a prison hierarchy with regulations that must be followed in order to be secure.

It turns out that their coed visiting space is actually the jail lunchroom, which the private owners merged to save money--although everyone's hands are free, their feet are chained.

So, even though everyone's feet are shackled, if someone gets into difficulty, it's a bit tough to escape--a gang of jail bullies may still seriously harm a newcomer!

Luna’s Big Plan

Mike comes down on what's going on with Luna, and the old jail guard inside intervenes to break it up.

Something about Luna reminds Mike of a younger Sheila, not her appearance, but how she conducts herself and behaves.

After chasing the bullies away, they sit down in the lunchroom and begin talking, and he discovers that she knows Sheila--in fact, she is John's adopted cousin.

Of course, she lies and tells him she was set up for the crimes her mother committed, and she is so convincing that Mike feels sorry for her.

Mike quickly develops a midlife crisis crush on Luna, which she detects--and that's when she begins to involve him in her plot. He gets involved in helping Luna arrange an escape, just as he has done with Sheila before!
