Chargers injury report: Joey Bosa in danger of missing Week 2 game vs. Panthers

    By Travis Wakeman,

The Los Angeles Chargers are ready to make their first road trip of the 2024 season and they may have to play the game without Joey Bosa. A back injury has limited the star edge rusher this week and kept him out of practice entirely on Thursday.

The Chargers will face the Carolina Panthers in Week 2, looking to continue the momentum of their season-opening win over the Las Vegas Raiders. It would be unfortunate if Bosa, who had such a big start to the season , is unable to play.

The Chargers will release their final injury report on Friday, but Bosa will most likely draw a questionable status for the contest.

Joey Bosa has missed 20 games the last two seasons

Bosa is still one of the best pass-rushers in all of football, but if there has been a knock on him, it's been his ability to stay healthy. A groin injury caused him to miss most of the 2022 season and last year, a foot injury knocked him out for the second half of the year.

If he can't play, Tuli Tuipolotu and Bud Dupree will share the role as both saw a large number of snaps in Week 1.

Bosa had one sack and a forced fumble in the Chargers' 12-point win over the Raiders.
