The man who fired shots outside of former Rep. Lee Zeldin’s home admitted to the crime. Noah Green pleaded guilty to shooting at three people and striking two of them in the chest in October 2022. The shooting happened on St George Drive, just outside of former Rep. Lee Zeldin’s home. Zeldin’s two daughters were inside their Shirley home doing homework at the time. He released the following statement: “The events that took place on October 9, 2022, were traumatic for my family and couldn’t have hit any closer to home. I am thankful for Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney, and the many law enforcement officials who swiftly acted to keep my daughters safe, transport the victims, and take the necessary legal action to hold Mr. Green accountable.” Prosecutors say Green is a member of the “No Fake Love” criminal street gang. Eighteen of them were indicted last December for this and other alleged gang activity. Green pleaded guilty to charges, including attempted murder and conspiracy. Green is facing 12 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision. His sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 15. "
