Rob Gronkowski Offers Blunt Critique of Tom Brady’s FOX Debut

Tom Brady is back in football, just not in the role fans are accustomed to seeing him in. Rather than lining up under center, Brady was in the broadcasting booth for FOX as the color commentator for the Dallas Cowboys 33-17 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Despite Brady's incredible career in the NFL and extensive knowledge of the game of football, his broadcasting debut was a bit shaky, and he received his fair share of criticism as a result.

He likely wasn't expecting one of his former teammates in Rob Gronkowski to be one of the guys critiquing his performance, but the longtime favorite receiver had some teaching points for Brady. Gronk admitted Brady struggled at times during his debut, but he also noted that's to be expected since he's a rookie in his new role.

Gronkowski believes that all the hype Brady had surrounding his broadcasting debut set him up to fail, and he thinks fans need to give the legendary quarterback time to figure things out in the booth.

There's no doubt Brady has what it takes to be a successful commentator for NFL games, but it's going to take him some time to learn the ropes.

Gronkowski is preaching patience with Brady, and considering how well that worked for him during his playing days, chances are the results will be great once he gets the hang of his new gig.
