A Miami Dolphins fan made a powerful statement outside Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday, September 12, following the controversial incident involving star wide receiver Tyreek Hill and the Miami-Dade Police Department just days earlier on September 8.

Hill, who has been a crucial part of the Dolphins' offense since joining the team in 2022, found himself briefly detained after being pulled over for speeding—driving 60 mph in a 40 mph zone—and not wearing a seatbelt.

The situation escalated, resulting in Hill being briefly detained, handcuffed, and placed on the ground. He was ultimately cited for both careless driving and the seatbelt violation.

As Dolphins fans flocked to the stadium ahead of the team’s Week 2 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, one particular sign stood out to fans reading, "Dolphins Players Please Slow Down."

Fans are voicing their support along with the inspirational fan.

"We can all do our part," said one fan.

"It is raining out there after all safety first." said another.

Footage from police body cameras captured a tense exchange between Hill and the officers during the stop.

Tyreek Hill has since stated that he could have handled the situation with Miami-Dade PD differently.

While Hill later acknowledged that he could have handled the situation differently, he also expressed his displeasure with how it was managed, even calling for the dismissal of one of the officers involved.

Despite the incident last week, Hill made it safely to the facility ahead of the team’s Week 2 matchup against Buffalo on Thursday night football.
