The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards hit the UBS Arena in New York for a celebrity-filled evening highlighting the biggest names in music. HelloBeautiful’s Editorial Director Shamika Sanders was on the black carpet to capture the best fashion moments on the black carpet and talk to stars like Halle Bailey , Flo Milli , Muni Long , Ayra Starr , Joyner Lucas , Lola Brooke , and more.

This year’s Black carpet brought out the biggest Black entertainers, who wanted a front-row seat to the hottie, we mean hostess, with the mostest Megan Thee Stallion . When asked who they were excited to see hit the stage, everyone agreed GloRilla, LL Cool J and Eminem were the most anticipated performances of the evening.

When put to the test in a game of “Finish The Lyric,” some rose to the occasion while some musicians couldn’t quite name that tune.
