Judy Garland might have been the first person to wear the ruby slippers, sing alongside The Tin Man, The Cowardly Lion, and The Scarecrow, and have her house land on The Wicked Witch of The East, but she certainly wasn’t the last.

Aside from her work in this film, the late actress is best known for her work in Meet Me in St. Louis (1944), A Star is Born (1954) and Judgment at Nuremberg (1961).

Garland was married five times and had three children before her tragic death in 1969. She was 47 and is best remembered for her everlasting impact on show business, including that incredible voice — featured so beautifully in The Wizard of Oz on “Over the Rainbow.”.
