Concern Grows for Josh Allen Following Bills-Dolphins Pregame Announcement

The Buffalo Bills are taking on the Miami Dolphins on "Thursday Night Football," as both teams are seeking their second win of the season. It should be a highly contested game, as these divisional rivals aim to get a heads up on their opponent.

Buffalo looked a little sloppy in Week 1 but pulled out the victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Meanwhile, the Dolphins pulled off the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars thanks to some late-game heroics.

For Thursday night, the Bills hope to find a consistent target to replace Stefon Diggs. But that might be more difficult in Week 2 with superstar quarterback, Josh Allen, battling a left-hand injury.

The injury is going to play a factor in this contest, as reports indicate that Allen's hand is so injured that he can't use his left hand to hand the ball off to the running back on designed run plays to the right, according to Maurice Jones Drew and Mike Garafolo of The NFL Network.

It'll be interesting to see how much that injury effects Allen's play on Thursday night. There's a chance the awkwardness of handing the ball off with the wrong hand could lead to a mistake for the Bills. Especially considering the star quarterback will have to reach across his body to hand the ball off on run plays to the right.

Bills' head coach Sean McDermott and offensive coordinator Joe Brady, who calls the plays, might get creative and avoid run plays to the right. But at the very least, Allen will play on "Thursday Night Football" as Buffalo aims to secure a 2-0 record to begin the season.

Allen has been a superstar through most of his years in the NFL. Unfortunately, it has yet to lead to a Super Bowl appearance. Regardless, the Bills are viewed as one of the best teams in the league thanks to his efforts.

His leadership shined brightly in Week 1 against the Cardinals as Buffalo had to scratch and claw its way to a win. Allen had a great performance, recording 232 passing yards, 39 rushing yards, and four total touchdowns.

Look for the Bills to get in the groove of things against a tough Dolphins team. Miami won't go down without a fight as they have one of the most electric offenses in the league led by Tyreek Hill. With running back Raheem Mostert out of the game, Buffalo could capitalize and stifle Miami's high-powered rushing attack.
