Recipe: Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich Roll
Ingredients:
12 bacon slices
⅓ cup Frank’s Red Hot Original sauce
12 slices of white sandwich bread
1 egg, whisked
¾ lb thin deli-sliced chicken
½ cup ranch dressing
½ lb Monterey Jack cheese, thinly sliced
Handful of baby spinach
For Ranch Butter:
3 tablespoons butter, melted
3 tablespoons ranch dressing
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400ºF.
Lay out the bacon slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Generously brush each slice with Frank’s Red Hot Original sauce. Bake for 15–20 minutes until the bacon is browned and cooked through. Drain the bacon on paper towels, keeping the hot sauce-brushed side facing up. Set aside.
Cover a large cutting board with plastic wrap. Place one slice of bread in the upper left corner of the board. Brush the right edge of the bread with whisked egg and place another slice next to it, overlapping slightly. Press the seams together. Repeat with the rest of the bread, forming a large rectangle (3 rows of 4 slices). Press the seams together with your fingers.
Use a rolling pin to roll the bread rectangle as thin as possible.
In the center of the rectangle, lay out half of the deli chicken in a row. Drizzle some ranch dressing over the chicken. Arrange half of the bacon slices on top, followed by half of the cheese slices and half of the spinach leaves. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients.
Brush the top edge of the sandwich roll with whisked egg. Starting from the bottom, roll the sandwich up to form a long log. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Reduce the oven temperature to 350ºF.
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and ranch dressing together. Unwrap the sandwich log, place it on a baking sheet, and brush the surface with the ranch butter.
Bake for 18–20 minutes until the bread is lightly golden and the cheese is melted.
