Roy Keane has made a daring prediction that Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold could net a hat-trick against Nottingham Forest .

The Reds' academy product was a standout performer for England during the international break, setting up Harry Kane's opening goal against Finland on Tuesday. He played both games in his preferred right-back position, a shift from his midfield role under former manager Gareth Southgate during the European Championships.

This is also the position new Liverpool boss Arne Slot has chosen for him in the first three Premier League matches of the season, all of which Liverpool have won. As the Reds prepare to face Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Saturday, Manchester United icon Keane believes that Alexander-Arnold playing in a more advanced role could be beneficial.

During the Stick to Football podcast, alongside Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville, predictions were made for the upcoming match. Carragher, with an eye on midweek matters, predicted: "2-0, probably rest a couple for Milan."

Keane forecasted a 3-1 victory for Liverpool, with fellow England player Morgan Gibbs-White scoring a consolation for Forest. But he then made an even bolder prediction. "Trent, Trent. He could get a hat-trick if he's higher up the pitch," he said.

Despite facing Nottingham Forest three times in his career, Alexander-Arnold has yet to score against the team. However, he's tasted victory twice and even provided an assist in a 3-2 win back in April 2023.
