Love Island USA host Ariana Madix and Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney clapback at their former business partner Penny Davidi in court.

Penny accused the TV personalities of breaching their deal revolving around the two reality star’s sandwich shop Something About Her. Court documents reveal that Ariana and Katie denied every accusation of wrongdoing in the case that Penny opened against them in July. “Plaintiffs fail to allege facts sufficient to support any claim for relief, including by failing to allege a justiciable controversy,” Ariana and Katie’s lawyer said.

The small screen stars asked the court to dismiss Penny’s case and award her nothing from the complaint she filed.

Additionally, Ariana and Kate asked for the court to give them a jury trial in the case, according to In Touch. Penny alleged in her initial lawsuit that Ariana and Katie had messed her over in a deal they had for Something About Her. She claims that she was promised to be given a 10% cut of their business to serve as the COO/Director of Culinary at Something About Her. Penny explained that the agreement was reached in June 2023.

Per In Touch, the agreement was to “jointly engage in the business of developing, creating, owning, operating, promoting … and otherwise profiting and benefiting from … a restaurant, fashion, merchandise, and lifestyle, brand, business, and property … to be known as Something About Her.”

Penny mentioned in the lawsuit that she spent a large amount of time working on the business and getting trademarks for the aforementioned West Hollywood Restauraunt. She claimed that the deal made sure she would be paid $7,500 every month, and then in time, it would increase to $10,000 per month.

Penny divulged that it all went south after Ariana and Katie allegedly refused to honor their agreement. The chef asked the court to enforce that Ariana and Katie honor the alleged deal between them, enabling Penny to get her fair cut of Something About Her. A judge hasn’t ruled on the situation yet.

Something About Her opened its doors in May, and since its launch, it has had lines of people waiting to try the eatery’s sandwiches.

Penny’s lawsuit against Ariana and Katie isn’t the only one filed against Ariana. Ariana is also battling it out in court with her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandavol and their former costar Raquel Leviss. Raquel is suing Tom and Ariana for invasion of privacy as she accused Tom of secretly recording explicit FaceTime conversations that they had when he was cheating on then-girlfriend Ariana.

Raquel claimed that Ariana found the footage and she believes that Ariana shared the videos with others. Ariana and Tom of course have denied all of the allegations in the case.

“I did not send the videos to anyone else. Nor did I share, display, or show the videos to anyone else,” Ariana admitted in a court declaration. “To be clear, I only saw the video of [Raquel] … in places secluded from others.”
