The future of Liverpool's ace Mohamed Salah is under the microscope once again after his agent dropped a bombshell on social media with a fiery outburst.

Salah , whose contract lapses in nine months, can begin discussions with other clubs come January, and while Liverpool seem cool about the contracts of Salah along with team icons Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold , the Egyptian's performance against Manchester United scoring in their 3-0 triumph certainly turned heads.

Salah said post-match: "This is my last year with the club and I want to enjoy it. I feel I am free to play football we will see what happens next year."

Cue speculation over intent as both Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain appear eager to haul in Salah next season. The Reds might hesitate offering the forward another big contract due to his age, 32.

With the rumour mill churning, Ramy Abbas Issa took to X to set things straight, though he may have fueled more ambiguity than clarity. He hit out saying: "FYI - all those ‘journalists’ who imply having ‘inside information’ about Mohamed’s future are making claims/posts based on absolutely nothing. Just click-------. ‘Sources close to Mohamed’ don’t exist. This post is really just to tell you that they don’t know."

A year ago, Salah was enticed by an eye-watering offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad. However, his agent, Ramy Abbas, reaffirmed Salah's commitment to the Reds with a statement: "If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn't have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC."

This loyalty to Liverpool held firm, with the club never wavering on its position regarding the star forward, who boasts an impressive tally of 214 goals and 92 assists since his move from Roma in 2017.

Following the thrashing of United at Old Trafford, when quizzed about Salah's future, Arne Slot appeared unruffled, telling Sky Sports: "It's a lot of 'if'. At this moment he is one of ours and I am really happy with him being one of ours and he played really well. I don't talk about contracts from players, but I can talk for hours about how Mo played today."

Salah is ready to take on Nottingham Forest at Anfield come Saturday, maintaining momentum after already striking three times and assisting thrice in just three Premier League appearances this season.
