Miami Dolphins star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa made headlines for all the wrong reasons on Thursday, September 12, in their game against the Buffalo Bills at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. This was after the Pro Bowl QB went down following a hard hit to the head involving Bills safety Damar Hamlin.

Tagovailoa immediately hit the deck after what looked like a painful collision with Hamlin, who himself is no stranger to major injuries. Last year, Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Incredibly, he made a full recovery and was subsequently awarded the 2023 PFWA Comeback Player of the Year title.

As for Tua, however, it did look like the 26-year-old convulsed on the field after the hit.

In the video below, you can see his right arm outstretched in a seemingly involuntary manner.

A slow-mo angle of Tagovailoa's injury is now making its rounds on social media. It's a gruesome look at how the Dolphins star's head snapped back after hitting Hamlin's chest/arm.

    Warning: viewer discretion is advised.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time Tagovailoa suffered a head injury. The Dolphins star suffered two concussions during the 2022 season, which forced him to miss multiple games.

The Dolphins have already announced that Tua will miss the remainder of the game after being diagnosed with a concussion. He will now need to enter the league's concussion protocol and will likely be in line to miss multiple games because of this latest injury.

    Prayers up for Tua.
