College football schedule today: Times, TV channels, live streams to watch Friday night NCAA games

Kansas is the epicenter of the college football world on Friday night.

Friday's two-game slate begins with Kansas looking to bounce back against upstart UNLV in a rematch of last year's Guaranteed Rate Bowl, won by the Jayhawks.

Both teams entered the 2024 season with high expectations. For Kansas, that meant being ranked No. 22 in the AP Top 25 Poll, the program's first preseason ranking since 2009. But a 23-17 loss on Saturday to Illinois dampened the hype, with fifth-year quarterback Jalon Daniels throwing three interceptions.

Now, the Jayhawks will face another test against UNLV, a dark-horse playoff contender to emerge from the Group of Five. The Rebels went 9-5 last season under first-year coach Barry Odom, and are off to a blitzing 2-0 start this year, punctuated by a win over Houston.

Across the way in Manhattan, No. 14 Kansas State battles No. 20 Arizona in a Big 12 matchup. Kansas State is coming off a gritty road win over Tulane, sparked by two touchdowns from sophomore quarterback Avery Johnson and 177 all purpose yards from running back DJ Giddens.

Sophomore quarterback Noah Fifita has Arizona off to a 2-0 start, despite a couple of slow first-half performances. Fifita has thrown for 595 yards through two games, including a 422-yard outing in the season-opener.
