Although they were missing Tee Higgins in this game, this offense could not score against an offense that allowed 21.5 ppg last year. Lastly, they lost the time of possession battle 25:57 to 34:03 against the Bengals.
For their defense, they were awful against the run. As mentioned earlier, they gave up 170 on the ground, fifth most over Week One. They allowed the Patriots to play keep away going 6-of-15 on third down and keep the clock ticking. Although that is only 40.0%, the Patriots were just about 30.0%. If they have any hope of beating the Kansas City Chiefs this week, their defense needs to be better.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens in last week's opening game. They are currently first in the NFL when it comes to yards per play at 7.1. They converted 4-of-9 third downs against the Ravens, which is key to extending drives and controlling time of possession. Patrick Mahomes was solid in Week One, 20-of-28 passing for 291 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. As for the running game, running back Isiah Pacheco had a productive game, with 15 carries for 45 yards. He also caught two passes for 33 yards but dropped a potential touchdown.
The Chiefs' defense was sensational, statistically, they were middle of the pack. However, they played well above their stats. Of the 185 rushing yards they allowed, 122 of it was to Lamar Jackson who is a nightmare to guard when he decides to take off. With the Bengals coming to Arrowhead, the key will be how Kansas City can get to Joe Burrow. Cincinnati allowed three sacks last week against the Patriots, while the Kansas City Chiefs only got to Lamar once, Burrow is the easiest of the two quarterbacks to get to and bring down.

The Kansas City Chiefs are going to pulverize the Cincinnati Bengals. I see this game in the ballpark of a 27-17 type of game. The Chiefs are playing with great confidence and it showed last week. We saw last week the speed of Xavier Worthy show, scoring two 20-yard touchdowns in the game. Cincy might be without Tee Higgins for the second consecutive game as well and without their two number-one receivers, I don't see how they can keep this game in striking distance where the 5.5-point spread will come into play.
