UFC 306: Brian Ortega VS. Diego Lopes Fight Preview
3 hours ago
UFC 306 will feature two championship fights in The Sphere of Las Vegas, NV. To prelude those two main event fights, Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes are scheduled for a key featherweight matchup. The fight gives a tale as old as time.
Brian Ortega started his UFC career at just 23 years old. After a no-contest in his debut, Ortega went on a tear, winning six straight fights by either submission or stoppage. Going 2-3 since then, losing in championship bouts versus Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski, Ortega looks to return to his contender form at UFC 306.
Diego Lopes is still early in his UFC career. After losing his debut at 27, he bounced back with four straight wins since 2022. Now the 13th-ranked featherweight, Lopes is aiming for a title shot if he can overcome No. 3 Brian Ortega at UFC 306.

Diego Lopes is entering his prime and has shown immense upside in the featherweight division. Picking up three early finishes in just five UFC fights, his abilities are undeniable. However, Ortega is known to be an extremely durable fighter.
It will be a close fight for many reasons. UFC 306 will be in store for a technical brawl to warm up the championship matches of Sean O’Malley and Alexa Grasso.
