The Los Angeles Lakers are gearing up for the 2024-25 NBA season with the promising return of three key role players: Cam Reddish, Gabe Vincent, and their 2023 first-round pick, Jalen Hood-Schifino.

Last season, injuries significantly hampered the team's progress, with players like Jarred Vanderbilt, Christian Wood, and Vincent collectively missing 190 games, disrupting team dynamics and performance on the court.

With new head coach JJ Redick at the helm, the Lakers hope to leverage the fresh energy and potential of these returning players to enhance their championship aspirations, reports ESPN's Dave McMenamin .

Reddish, known for his defensive capabilities, is anticipated to shine as a reliable 3-and-D wing.

Under the leadership of fellow Duke Blue Devil JJ Redick, there should be a rise in confidence for Reddish after he showed that could be a really good on-ball defender in the NBA. However, his success depends heavily on his ability to consistently hit shots from long range.

Vincent, who demonstrated solid shooting and defensive skills during his time with the Miami Heat, is eager to bounce back after a season marred by injuries. His integration into the team will largely depend on the Lakers' decisions regarding D'Angelo Russell's role.

Meanwhile, Hood-Schifino is set to step up more significantly, especially after limited playing time last season. He appeared in just 21 contests while averaging a scant 5.2 minutes per.

This sentiment is particularly noteworthy given the previous season's tumultuous experiences. The Lakers aim to overcome these challenges and maximize the contributions of their returning players as they seek a successful season.
