Tua Tagovailoa was not alone when he was brought to the Miami Dolphins' locker room during their Thursday Night Football showdown against the Buffalo Bills.

Tagovailoa suffered another head injury during the third quarter of the contest, prompting him to exit the field and head to their locker room to get checked. Video replays of the incident showed the Dolphins quarterback jamming his neck after crashing head-first to the chest of Damar Hamlin.

The 26-year-old star was trying to get a first down on a 4th-and-4 situation. Unfortunately, his scramble to help his team score turned out to be his final play of the night. As he fell to the ground, Tagovailoa appeared to be disoriented before being taken off the field, although he was able to walk off under his own power.

According to reports in the aftermath of the injury, Tagovailoa had his family with him in the locker room.

Amazon sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung provided more details about the presence of Tagovailoa's family during the broadcast of the game, noting, “We’re told family is inside with him. We’ve seen his wife and two children, as well as his brother."

Hartung also shared that Tagovailoa is "conscious, awake and alert," and "has full movement in his extremities," per On3.

Tua Tagovailoa was diagnosed with a concussion and was quickly ruled out following his exit. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters postgame that the one-time Pro Bowler will have " proper procedural evaluation " on Friday before they determine their next steps (via NBC).

The Dolphins lost to the Bills in their Week 2 clash, 31-10. Prior to his injury, Tagovailoa was struggling, recording three interceptions while throwing for 145 yards and one touchdown on 17-of-25 pass completion.
