Las Vegas Raiders reporters trash team on hot mic

After new quarterback Gardner Minshew led the Las Vegas Raiders to a 12-point loss in Week 1, Raiders reporters were caught on a hot mic debating the QB and predicting a rough outing for him in Baltimore in Week 2.

In a clip that leaked on Instagram from content creator Joe Morley, reporters can be overheard ripping Minshew and the team. After one reporter noted how well former Raiders starter Derek Carr played in a Week 1 win for the New Orleans Saints, the conversation was punctuated by one reporter stating Minshew would “get his a** kicked in Baltimore.”

Nobody’s expectations are very high for the Raiders this season. With no long-term answer at quarterback and a first-time head coach, the team is projected to finish near the bottom of the AFC West.

Even a young diehard fan in August was confident , proclaiming in an interview with KTNV in Las Vegas that the Raiders would not make the Super Bowl this season .

So far, the biggest Raiders news of the NFL season has been that Tom Brady’s minority stake in the franchise is nearing approval and will limit him as a Fox broadcaster. Brady likely won’t be the team’s quarterback in his late 40s, but perhaps his arrival as a part owner can be a silver (and black) lining for a season that is already going down the drain in Las Vegas.
