Miranda Lambert is making snail mail cool again with the release of her brand new album, Postcards from Texas , available now.

The title is a nod to the three-time GRAMMY winner’s home state, which played a large part in the inspiration behind each of the project’s 14 tracks. It’s also where Lambert recorded the entire album - something she hasn’t done since she was 18 as Nashville had become her standard, until she recently signed a deal with Republic Records.

“I haven’t made a record in Texas since I was 18 [which was] my little independent, first record I ever made,” she shared. “I felt like this being really the 10th album I’ve made and with a whole new label, a whole new team — I just wanted to go back to the root of where it all started and start fresh.”

Fans got a first taste of the project, which is the follow up to 2022’s Palomino , earlier this year with the release of lead single, “Wranglers,” which is currently climbing the charts and a song that captures one of the things Country fans love most about Miranda — her fiery side.

“I kind of built a career on my woman-scorned feisty side — that’s my bread and butter — that’s where I started, really with 'Kerosene.' It’s such a part of who I am as a person and also as an artist,” she said of the song that captures the wrath of a heartbroken woman. “I haven’t really done a song with that fiery subject in a while. ‘Wranglers’ landed right at the right time for me…. Wranglers felt like, ‘OK, I’m back. I need this song.’”

It’s not all anger on the new record — it also comes with its fair share of humor with playful lyrics taking center stage on songs like “Looking Back on Luckenbach,” and “Armadillo.” “There’s a lot of humor on this record and it’s really fun… I try to put some in every record but this one seems a little more. lighthearted in a lot more songs than I normally do and I think that’s just because I’m happy.”
