Before the Dolphins' Week 1 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars this past Sunday, Miami wide receiver Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic violation, pulled out of his car and handcuffed by police just outside of Hard Rock Stadium.

Video of the incident went viral on social media, and Hill's detainment dominated the news cycle over the following days.

Despite his detainment just hours before the game, Hill went on to record some stellar numbers in the Dolphins' comeback victory over the Jaguars. The reigning NFL receiving leader reeled in seven catches for 130 yards and a touchdown in Miami's 20-17 win.

Amazon Prime Video Thursday Night Football broadcasters Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit discussed the incident during Thursday's matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.

"That was an amazing situation on Sunday... Pulled out of the car, is able to play... I don't whether adrenaline kicks in or what, he had a great day," Michaels said.

"I've never seen anything like that," Herbstreit replied.

"That video is unbelievable in a way," Michaels added.

Both of these veteran broadcasters are facing backlash for these comments.

"Two old, rich white men, in Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit saying the video of Tyreek Hill getting thrown to the ground by the Miami police was 'unbelievable' shows they have no idea the cops are doing stuff like that all the time," one fan wrote.

"So unbelievable…we see videos that end way worse on a daily basis," another said.

"I guess Al doesn’t follow how African Americans are treated by the police. What happened is completely believable!" another added.

Hill had just three catches for 24 yards in the Dolphins' 31-10 blowout loss to the Bills on Thursday night. Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was knocked out of the game with a concussion in the second half after taking a big hit from Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin.

Hill and the Dolphins will look to bounce back in a Week 3 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday.
