    Officers hospitalized after two police vehicles crash on Chicago's Southwest Side

    CHICAGO — Six Chicago police officers were hospitalized early Friday morning after two squad cars collided on the city's Southwest Side, according to the Chicago Police Department. The incident occurred just after 2:15 a.m. in the 1900 block of South Western Avenue, in the Little Village neighborhood.

    Police reported that one marked squad car struck another while both were heading north. Four officers were inside one vehicle, while two were in the other.

    Four of the officers were reported in good condition, while two were in fair condition. All were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
