Rumor: Spider-Man 4 Will See Tom Hardy’s Venom Fighting Knull

The second trailer for Venom: The Last Dance dropped on September 12, 2024. It has since been a hot topic of discussion among many superhero fans. With the inclusion of Knull in the trailer, Sony has teased the introduction of the possible big bad of their universe. However, a different rumor has been circulating widely. It suggests that his appearance might just not be limited to Tom Hardy’s Venom 3 but go beyond it. Will fans get the chance to see Knull appear as the ultimate villain in MCU’s Spider-Man 4 , starring Tom Holland ?

Venom 3 to set up Knull as Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 villain

The chatter around Knull has grown since his introduction in Venom: The Last Dance trailer. According to the description of Knull in Marvel Comics, he is the creator of all the symbiotes. He is also the wielder of the Black Necro sword. Fans last saw it appear in Thor: Love and Thunder , used by Gorr the God Butcher to slay gods.

However, the appearance of Knull in Venom 3’s trailer has also instilled fear in the hearts of many fans. They also wonder whether he will be used to his potential. As per Cosmic Circus , in a recent session by Alex Perez called What I’ve Heard, he revealed that Knull is even more fierce than Thanos. The latter was the big bad of MCU’s Infinity saga. Thus, his accurate portrayal is essential for Sony to execute.

Perez discussed the possibility of Knull appearing in Spider-Man 4. He further disclosed that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Tom Hardy’s Venom might unite for the first time by the end of Venom 3.

Perez stated, “Recently, I heard that the upcoming Spider-Man film might pit Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Tom Hardy’s Venom together, with Venom: The Last Dance setting up the interaction. By the end of Venom: The Last Dance, we may see Eddie Brock cross over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with some sources indicating that the recent reshoots in NYC for Venom: The Last Dance have to do with that, but that remains unconfirmed for now.”

Alex Perez added, “I’m hearing that the potential villain for this film would be Knull, who is seeking to enshroud the entire multiverse in his darkness following its discovery.” Moreover, he highlighted how Spider-Man 4 was originally planned to operate on a ground level. It would feature Spider-Man joining forces with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and going against Wilson Fisk.

But reportedly, this idea hasn’t been approved by Sony. Thus, fans can hope to see another multiverse adventure in the upcoming movie, which is still in development. Although still a rumor, Perez states Venom and Spider-Man could cross paths in Spider-Man 4. And if that happens, fans could also see a showdown between them.
