ESPN's Elle Duncan Sparks Debate with Response to Stephen A Smith's Tua Tagovailoa Segment

The Miami Dolphins had a pretty rough Thursday night, as they suffered a blowout 31-10 loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bills, while also losing their star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to a concussion late in the game.

In the wake of yet another concussion for Tagovailoa, folks have been frantically discussing his future in the NFL, which led to an interesting discussion between Stephen A. Smith and Elle Duncan on ESPN.

While some folks are calling for Tagovailoa to retire from the NFL, Smith doesn't think that will happen, as he believes men such as the Dolphins QB feel they must sacrifice in order to provide for their family. Duncan interjected and said she understands the sacrifice Smith was talking about, which sparked a big debate amongst fans.

Some fans were quick to call Duncan out, saying she was attempting to make Tagovailoa's concussion issues about herself, and that her comments had nothing to do with the subject at hand.

Other fans sided with Duncan, though, saying she was right to stand up for women everywhere after Smith's comments seemed to imply that they didn't understand what Tagovailoa is currently going through.

There's no doubt this was a divisive segment on ESPN, and regardless of which side you are on, all eyes will be on Tagovailoa's status over the next few days to see what the future holds for him.

If if Tua retires for medical reasons; he is guaranteed at least 140 million. That's should be enough to take care of his family for generations. A few million more won't help his family if he develops dementia as a middle aged father.

A healthy debate I hope because they both spoke facts nothing more nothing less 🤷🏽‍♂️…this shouldn’t be a male vs female or any kind of race debate at all 💯
