Crown Point, IN – 9/12/24 – More than 900 attendees are set to celebrate women in business during the 13th annual Influential Women of Northwest Indiana Awards Banquet to be held 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Avalon Manor Banquet Center in Merrillville.

This year, winners will be selected from a group of 226 finalists, which were chosen from over 430 nominees submitted by peers and members of the public to the Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association (NWIIWA). At the banquet, two winners will be announced in each of 12 industry categories – one as an Up and Coming winner and the other as an Influential Woman winner. Overall Up and Coming and Influential Woman of the Year awards will also be presented. In addition, two finalists will be recognized with Community Leader of the Year and Supporter of the Year awards. All finalists are awarded a Finalist Medallion.

“The banquet is such a monumental occasion where we can bring together a powerhouse of women who have elevated leadership, innovation and excellence in their respective professional fields,” said Mary Wright, NWIIWA board chair. “We look forward to honoring the winners at the banquet and commending all the finalists and Influential Women alumni who continue to make a difference.”

Nominations for the Influential Women awards are evaluated by alumni, who then narrow down the nominees and select the finalists. Previous winners represent various industries, including education, health care, media, government and nonprofit organizations.
