The wedding is scheduled from 3 to 8, 5 hours. The ceremony will take no more than half an hour. That leaves 4 and a half hours for people to mill around in formal attire, outdoors in October and, no doubt, with inadequate seating. If, and with the setup the invitation describes its a big if, there's a cake ceremony, it will cut 10-15 minutes out of the milling around time. So 4 hours + or - of formal attire while munching on hors d'oeuvres and potluck deserts, which will run out, guaranteed.... No, thank you.
