Wisconsin Men's Basketball Dials up Big Recruiting Weekend for Alabama Game

Greg Gard and the Wisconsin Badgers basketball program are gearing up for a major recruiting weekend as several top prospects across multiple classes are set to visit Madison and watch the football team take on the Alabama Crimson Tide at Camp Randall Stadium.
Headlining the list is 2025 four-star forward Ryder Frost, a knockdown shooter whose stock has steadily risen and is now viewed by scouts as a top 100 prospect. At 6-foot-6, Frost has been a key target for the Badgers since they offered back in May during the live evaluation period, and this weekend marks an opportunity to make a lasting impression as Wisconsin looks to better position themselves before he trims his list.
Let's not forget that Notre Dame, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Michigan, and several other schools are still in the mix for Frost, but the belief is that Wisconsin will have a puncher's chance in this one.
Joining Frost are two in-state prospects, 2026 forward Vaughn Karvala from nearby Verona and 2027 Freedom High School standout Donovan Davis , who both hold an offer from the Badgers.
Davis is widely regarded as one of the top in-state prospects in his class, and locking down local talent has seemingly been more of a priority for Gard and his coaching staff as of late. With Davis on campus, the staff will look to continue building a strong relationship with him because there is a chance his recruitment ends up nationwide before it's all said and done.
The Badgers will also host 2025 commits Zach Kinziger and center Will Garlock on official visits. Both Kinziger and Garlock have long been viewed as core pieces of the Wisconsin men's basketball team's 2025 class, and having them on campus this weekend serves to further their connection with the program and the coaching staff. Having them make their pitch to potential future teammates certainly won't hurt.
Finally, newly minted 2026 commit LaTrevion Fenderson will also be in attendance. Fenderson, a dynamic wing with big-time upside out of Racine, has the potential to develop into a cornerstone for the Badgers in the future and was, in my opinion, an underrated recruiting win for this staff. It'll be interesting to see what type of players they want to pair with Fenderson and how many scholarships they want to use in this class on high school recruits instead of banking them for transfer portal usage.
With a few top targets and key commits in town, this weekend will be one to keep an eye on for Wisconsin.
