A beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog didn't want to come inside, and she had no intentions to be persuaded otherwise by anyone.

On September 12, 2024, TikTok user Ivy the Berner (@ivytheberner) shared a video of what happens when the weather hits 60 degrees. Take a look!

When it finally hits 60 degrees. It’s already starting and it’s not even winter 🤦🏻‍♂️. Imagine getting punched by a 120 lb dog. **also before anyone says anything — she and I horseplay a lot, and she knows shes allowed to play like this with me. #bernesemountaindog

Some people love the summer and look forward to counting down the days. Others like the fall and can't wait for sweater and pumpkin everything. Turns out that holds pretty true for dogs, too.

In a video posted to social media , we meet Ivy, a Bernese Mountain Dog who found her spot and isn't moving.

"Trying to get my Bernese Mountain Dog inside on the first cool night of the season," the text on the video reads. Mom walks out the back door and tries to find where Ivy sits. Turns out she's lounging on the conversation set out on the patio. Mom goes to speak with her.

"I gotta go—let's go inside," the woman says to Ivy, who doesn't care and gets even cozier on the couch she's sitting on. Mom pulls her collar to convince her it's time to go, and Ivy says nope.

The two go back and forth like this for a while, and Ivy protests like a human toddler, doing the noodle flop where she makes it impossible for anyone to pick up. It's a big ordeal, and mom is trying to get Ivy to cooperate because she needs to leave the house, and she can't leave Ivy outside when she does.

In the end, Ivy won that one.

"When it finally hits 60 degrees," the video's caption reads. "It’s already starting and it’s not even winter 🤦🏻‍♂️. Imagine getting punched by a 120 lb dog."

In the comments, people had a field day sharing their opinions on the stubborn doggo.

One wrote, "Mine used to lay in the snow belly up like it was a damn beach."

Another shared, "I get the same thing here with my Leonberger mix!"

Someone else added, "My Berner comes whenever I call him, my Leonberger is another story. That boy is stubborn once it hits 60."

Another explained, "Tis the season of Berne-tantrums."

Interesting Facts About the Bernese Mountain Dog

If you love big dogs, the Bernese Mountain Dog is one you might consider. They look similar to St. Bernard, but a Bernese has a fluffier coat.

According to beChewy , Bernese Mountain Dogs have everything that makes them good family dogs. "Bernese Mountain Dogs have an affectionate temperament, making them great as a pet," the site explains. "Give your Berner lots of attention. This isn’t a dog who wants to be left alone in your yard outside."

Adding, "Although the Bernese breed is a powerful, large dog, they’re also docile and sweet. They have a lot of patience and are known to be good with children. "

The American Kennel Club calls these pups "good-natured, calm, and strong," and we find it a little funny that they can also be very stubborn, too.
