Noah Syndergaard, the former Los Angeles Angels pitcher, is vocal about his desire to make a comeback in Major League Baseball (MLB), with his sights set on rejoining the New York Mets.

Known affectionately as "Thor," Syndergaard possesses an emotional connection to the Mets, where he established his reputation as one of the league's top pitchers.

During a recent guest appearance on "The Terry Collins Show," he expressed his sentiments.

"I would love to come home to New York," Syndergaard said. "Hopefully, that's in store for me. I love the fan base. I love the city. I love the culture, the history, the passion. It's the best place to play."

Hopefully, that's in store for me. I love the fan base. I love the city. I love the culture, the history, the passion. It's the best place to play."

Syndergaard's career began with a promising trajectory; he debuted in the majors with the Mets in May 2015 and quickly made a name for himself by achieving a record of 9-7 and a 3.24 ERA that season.

His standout 2016 performance earned him an All-Star selection, finishing with a record of 14-9 and a solid 2.60 ERA, solidifying his status among the elite pitchers in the league.

However, injuries have plagued Syndergaard's career since then. In 2020, he underwent Tommy John surgery, significantly affecting his playing time and performance.

After a stint with the Angels, where he signed a one-year contract worth $21 million for the 2022 season, Syndergaard was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies.

His performance dwindled afterwards, leading to further appearances with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland Guardians, where he recorded a combined 5.40 ERA.

As of now, Syndergaard has not returned to MLB, but his passion and commitment to playing for the Mets highlight his unyielding spirit and desire to reclaim the success he once enjoyed.

With his history and strong fan support in New York, a potential reunion could excite both Syndergaard and Mets fans alike, signaling a chapter of redemption in his career.

Reuniting with the Mets could not only mark a return for Syndergaard but also encapsulate a powerful story of resilience amid challenges.
