The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to get the win in Week 1 against the Washington Commanders, but their Week 2 game will most likely be a but more of a test.

They will be up against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, and they are one of the favorites to come out of the NFC and make it to the Super Bowl. In a recent interview , Bucs' quarterback Baker Mayfield said that he believes this game will be a real test for the team.

"Every week you have to bring your best stuff. At this level, if you don’t show up you can get beat any given week. This is one of those," Mayfield said. "On the road with a team who was in the NFC Championship, where we aspire to be, so it’s one of those – you said it, measuring sticks to great competition and see how our guys handle it early on. It’s a long season, but we can learn a lot from this one."

The Buccaneers looked like one of the best teams in the league this past week, but they will be up against much stiffer competition in Week 2.

They were able to make it to the playoffs this past season, but some question whether or not they deserved it. The Bucs have won three straight NFC South titles, but many see it as the worst division in football, and that the Buccaneers win it by default every year.

Mayfield and the rest of the team will be looking to prove the haters wrong and keep up with the team that beat them in the playoffs last season.
