Jets Offense Expects Progress vs. Titans

After a disappointing start to their 2024 campaign on Monday night, the New York Jets are ready to turn the page heading into Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.

After a long, successful touchdown drive in the first quarter, the Jets' offense struggled to stay consistent throughout the rest of the night in their 33-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Despite the rough showing, Jets running back Breece Hall believes that the team simply needs to communicate more.

"We were just a step off," Hall said. "I feel like, for us, it's just about still getting on the same page, which we feel like we're just getting better and better at just making sure that we're doing our little things right, so we could hit the big ones when they're given to us."

Wide receiver Garrett Wilson also believes the team wasn't playing up to their potential in Week 1, but they're capable of it against Tennessee.

"I know we felt like we weren't playing good ball for a little bit there," said Wilson. "That's how I felt on the field. You have a great idea of it when it feels right and when it doesn't... I feel like we're close. I feel like we're here. Let's just go do it."

While Hall and Wilson have been with New York since 2022, Sunday will be just their third game with quarterback Aaron Rodgers as their starter, so the team will likely need time to build chemistry in the early weeks.

The Jets face the Titans at 1 P.M EST on Sunday.
