Joel Klatt Suggests Major College Football Program Could Be 'Totally Overrated'

With Week 3 of the 2024 college football season approaching, longtime Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt discussed the upcoming slate of games on the most recent episode of The Joel Klatt Show.

Klatt discussed was the upcoming ranked clash between No. 24 Boston College and No. 6 Missouri as one of his featured matchups of Week 3.

In doing so, he talked about the Eagles' Week 1 win over the then No. 10-ranked Florida State Seminoles.

"BC ran it all over Florida State," Klatt said. "Now you could say, 'So did Georgia Tech.' And Georgia Tech hasn't played well subsequently, so maybe Florida State is just totally overrated."

Florida State isn't ranked at all in Week 3's AP top-25 poll. Following the Seminoles' 24-21 Week 0 loss to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Mike Norvell's squad dropped another home game to Boston College in Week 1.

Bill O'Brien's team absolutely dominated Florida State on the ground, rushing for 263 yards to the Seminoles' 21. This rushing advantage gave the Eagles a massive edge in time of possession and a 28-13 final score over the reigning ACC Champions.

Florida State will look to notch its first win of the season in a matchup against Memphis on Saturday afternoon.

Boston College will kickoff against Missouri at 12:45 p.m. ET.
