ESPN college football analyst Greg McElroy recently discussed college football's Week 3 slate, reviewing some of the weekend's top games on his podcast "Always College Football."

Week 3 includes some big-time matchups, such as Alabama at Wisconsin, LSU at South Carolina and Boston College at Missouri.

While those three games look to be the Week 3 headliners, there are some other intriguing games that McElroy touched on during his Thursday episode.

In addition to predicting Florida (1-1) to take down Texas A&M (1-1), a game in which the Gators are a four-point home underdog, McElroy also foresees another upset this weekend.

Washington State, led by quarterback John Mateer, roll into town after beating Portland State and Texas Tech in the first two weeks of the season.

The Huskies, coached by Jedd Fisch, face their first true test since losing to Michigan in last year's national title game.

Despite entering the game as 4.5-point underdogs, according to ESPN BET, McElroy predicts the Cougars will leave Seattle victorious.

"I think Washington State can actually pull off the upset," McElroy said. "They looked good against Texas State last week. There's been a lot to like from the Cougs, and I think they could carry over some of that into this performance."

Washington is led by Mississippi State transfer Will Rogers, who transferred from Starkville this offseason as the SEC's second all-time leading passer behind former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray.

Mateer, on the other hand, has thrown for 467 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception over his first two games.

"I think what you've got with Mateer, the quarterback of Washington State, I think he's the real deal... I think this offense is going to create a lot of problems," McElroy added.

McElroy expects Washington State fans to make the 4.5-hour drive to Seattle to support the Cougars in the "Apple Cup."

"And I would not be surprised at all if Washington State has just as many fans as Washington does there in the crowd," McElroy said. "Washington State is eager for this one. They have circled this one. This is a big opportunity for them."
