John Harbaugh Reveals Ravens' 1st-Round Pick Was in a Car Accident.

Baltimore Ravens fans were left concerned on Thursday when it was revealed that promising rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins didn't practice due to a neck injury. Considering how dangerous neck- and head-related injuries can be, you can't blame the Baltimore faithful for being concerned about the 2024 first-rounder.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh spoke with the media following the final practice of the week to provide an update on his rookie DB.

Harbaugh revealed that Wiggins' injury is a result of a car accident on Wednesday and that it'll hold him out of Sunday's Week 2 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Harbaugh made sure to clarify that 21-year-old Wiggins is fine but needs some more time to heal.

Wiggins made his highly anticipated professional debut during the Ravens' Week 1 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The former Clemson ballhawk played his 28 total snaps (17 on defense, 11 on special teams) in his first taste of NFL action, ending the night with a pair of tackles.

Wiggins has all of the tools to be a successful NFL cornerback, meaning the Ravens will give him as much time as possible to heal. The standout defender earned first-team All-ACC honors in his final campaign with the Tigers as he tallied 23 solo tackles, six broken-up passes, two forced fumbles, a pair of interceptions and a pick-six in 10 games.

Considering how he wasn't played on the injured reserve, it looks like Wiggins could potentially return to the lineup when the Ravens pay a visit to the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Week 3.
