    Copycat Payday Peanut Bars for National Peanut Day

    4 hours ago

    Happy National Peanut Day! Today, I thought we should go all out on a peanut recipe, not just sneak a tablespoon in here or there. We loaded the peanuts in here, so if you are allergic to peanuts, you still can still swap out for another nut. This is surprisingly easy, quick, and inexpensive to make too! Here is all you will need to make a 9 x 13 pan (or about 12 full- size -ish) bars:

    Ingredients:

    • 1, 24 ounce jar of dry roasted, salted peanuts
    • 3 Tbs butter
    • 2 cups peanut butter baking chips
    • 1, 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
    • 2 cups miniature marshmallows

    Grease the bottom and sides of a 9x13 pan with butter, then spread half of the peanuts evenly across the bottom.

    Over medium-low heat, melt the chips and butter together, then stir in the condensed milk and marshmallows until everything is fully melted and combined.

    Carefully pour the mixture over the peanuts in the pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining peanuts on top and gently press them into the mixture. Refrigerate until the dessert has cooled and set, then cut into your preferred serving sizes. Enjoy!!

    * Note:

    If you'd like to add a little twist, you can dip the bottoms of the cut bars in chocolate or drizzle some over the top prior to cutting. Allow the chocolate to set, then cut and enjoy!

    Feel free to try craisins, mixed nuts, or other dried fruit mix to make it more of a trail bar too!
