    Indiana Fever phenom Caitlin Clark's first regular season in the WNBA is nearing its end.

    On Friday, Clark and the Fever face the reigning WNBA champion Aces for the second time in three days. In Wednesday's matchup between Indiana and Las Vegas, Clark finished with 16 points and six assists but shot just 1-for-10 from 3-point range.

    The 22-year-old, heavily favored to take home the WNBA Rookie of the Year award, enters Friday's game averaging 19.1 points, 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. Clark recently earned her third consecutive Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

    As the playoffs approach, Clark and the Fever are looking to enter on a hot streak. While Indiana lost Wednesday, it was 6-1 in its last seven games before then. Clark has remained an offensive star, leading the WNBA in assists per game (8.4) and 3-pointers made per game (3.0) entering Friday.

    While Caitlin Clark went scoreless in the first half, she set the WNBA’s single-season assists record in the second quarter, surpassing previous record-holder Alyssa Thomas with the 317th assist of her rookie season.

    In the second half, she roared back to score 18 points, but Indiana fell short for the second game in a row against Las Vegas.
