Matvei Michkov Scores First Goal As Flyer Against Rangers

It didn’t take long, but Matvei Michkov has already scored his first goal as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers.

In the second period of the rookie series game between the New York Rangers and Flyers, Michkov fought for the puck behind the net on the power play and snuck the puck past goalie Dylan Garand.

The 19-year-old phenomenon is exciting fans with his impressive speed, nifty puck handling skills and electric shot.

Michkov has even been surprisingly consistent defensively, which is a pretty scary thought to think about for opponents of the Flyers.

Fans at the PPL Center erupted in cheers upon the announcement of Michkov’s goal as Michkov mania is very much real in Philadelphia.
